Happy Birthday National Park Service!
During the Summer of 2015, we volunteered at Grand Teton National Park. One lovely day, we floated the Snake River, and I snapped a photo of this majestic American Bald Eagle.
A few months later, I came across a contest where HitRecord was searching for photographers and artists to collaborate in the creation of a coloring book celebrating the 100th Birthday of the National Park Service. So, I entered my photograph.
Over the course of most of the year, many other photographs were entered. People voted on photographs. Artists, from all over the world chose photographs to "mix" into drawings. Two different artists chose my eagle. People then voted on those drawings. One of the drawings of my photograph was chosen for the coloring book. MY Eagle was the image chosen to represent Grand Teton National Park in the coloring book. I am very proud to receive this honor.
The Coloring Book was created to sell in order to raise funds for the Parks. August 25, 2016, is the 100th Birthday of the National Park Service.
