Our Story

Welcome to our site! We are Joanne & Steve. After 20+ years working for a city school department and police department, we sold almost everything, bought an RV, and started living on the road with our three children. Joanne homeschooled and worked online. Over the years we worked for Jellystone Parks as well as volunteered. We stopped traveling after 7 years and bought a house. Steve continued police work with the National Park Service and Joanne taught Kindergarten. Now that our three kids are adults, we have decided to travel more and explore.

New Shelves. New Day! Newoo hoo hoo hoo!!!!

We have lived in Eagle for two years and almost two months.  We are still rearranging to make it organized.  No different than a house. I was constantly reorganizing that as well.  A big burr in my side was the large space above the fridge and pantry closet.  Vast.  Open.  Huge.  Plenty of space for plenty of stuff, but, still disorganized all the same.  So, for some reason, at about the 86th time I mentioned it, hubby finally went out and purchased something to help organize the space!  It took a few adjustments, but, I am very, overly, weirdly, thrilled by the results.

before, one of many arrangements

empty, liking that

New Shelves…metal…sturdy…ooooooh, liking it.

SO MANY THINGS FIT!

I emptied the drawer below the dinette bench...

and the cabinet below the oven, not to
mention what was already in this cabinet!
More space!

Here's what we used.  It is made to be a three-tier shelf, but, obviously, that wouldn't fit.  Steve hack-sawed the pole used for the bottom two shelves (chopped off 5 sections) so it would fit vertically in our space.  The extra poles created, I screwed onto the top shelf (to the right) and that gave that shelf a little hook to keep it from sliding out of the space during travel.  I can't explain how happy I am about this.
It's a sign I may need a little more excitement in my life.

Go for it people!  Take the plunge!  Buy shelving!  It may just make your day!
